Programme
Composer, producer and DJ Gabriel Prokofiev, grandson of the famous Sergei Prokofiev, has become a leading voice on the international music scene thanks to his unique approach that fuses the classical tradition with electronic music and pop. His musical catalogue ranges from symphonic works and chamber compositions to concertos, among which are his innovative concertos for turntables and orchestra, as well as his remix of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 for electronics and orchestra. His background in dance music and classical roots give his work a unique quality, and in this concert featuring the première of his new piece, he continues to explore this fusion between the two styles.
