Programme

Poetry has gone hand in hand with musical creation since ancient times. This programme explores this relationship from the present, with works and authors from the 20th and 21st century, as well as 16th-century Indian mysticism, Allen Ginsberg, the end of the Roman Republic in 50 BCE, to Samuel Beckett, and more.

Creators such as Indian-American composer Reena Esmail, 19th-century French opera singer and composer Pauline Viardot, and Ariadna Alsina, composer-in-residence at L’Auditori, are combined with works by Darius Milhaud, Reynaldo Hahn and young composer Kaan Bulak, all performed by soprano Erika Baikoff.
