Programme

There are few more famous performers than the Argentinian pianist Martha Argerich, a legend since she gave her first recital at the Teatro Astral in Buenos Aires at the age of four, and the owner of a talent that she consolidated at the age of sixteen by winning the Geneva Competition. Since then, she has won numerous distinctions, including the Legion d’Honneur, awarded by French President Emmanuel Macron in 2023.

The pianist will accompany the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana on tour. They will be led by Charles Dutoit, who was the principal conductor and artistic director of the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra between 2009 and 2018. Dutoit is often invited to conduct major orchestras on stages around the world and his more than two hundred recordings have received a multitude of awards and distinctions.
