Over the past 10 years, Alexandre Desplat has been nominated for eight Academy Awards, winning last year with The Grand Budapest Hotel, and he continues to work on an average of six films every year. We are fortunate to have him in Barcelona conducting his music for this unmissable event.José Nieto, the great Madrilenian cinematographic composer, called a film’s music its secret influence: without being quite sure how, it is what makes us cry, laugh or smile or what makes us hate or love a character. Desplat is a master of this art.
