Program
David Soler’s approach to guitar playing is unique. Over the past two decades he has consolidated his career playing with pop and rock bands on some of the top stages in Europe and America, whilst slowly developing an avant-garde instrumental language of his own that he calls ‘denga’. His musical influences range from Brian Eno to Robert Fripp, and from guitarist Bill Frisell to composers such as Béla Bartók, Olivier Messiaen and Frank Zappa. On the basis of the above, last season L’Auditori invited Soler to bring his own take on an iconic pop-rock work: The Dark Side of the Moon, by Pink Floyd.
A pioneering album in the use of multi-layered surround-sound technology that deconstructs into an outstanding and sophisticated reinterpretation that we’ll have another chance to hear.
