After a career as composer, guitarist and singer with the groups Xaluq and Marala, Sandra Monfort is breaking new ground with a project of her own. Her recently released debut recording Niño Reptil Ángel is a poetic blend of classic and avant-garde, rediscovered tradition and atmospheric electronic music. 

The repertoire of this Valencian artist, a graduate of the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya reflects a natural sensitivity and poignant fragility, looking to the cycles of nature to decipher the deepest confines of the soul. Niño Réptil Ángel is an outburst of emotion, a resounding parabolic metamorphosis, like the flash of lightning that precedes thunder and the sun breaking through after the storm.
