El baixista, director d’orquestra, director artístic i guanyador d’un premi Grammy presenta el notable Kind Of Brown, un àlbum de 10 pistes interpretat pel seu nou quintet de jazz acústic. The bass player, conductor, artistic director and winner of a Grammy award brings us the notable Kind Of Brown, an album with 10 tracks performed by his new acoustic jazz quintet formed by old friends: the pianist Eric Reed, the saxophonist Steve Wilson and the drummer Carl Allen, and the recently arrived vibraphonist Warren Wolf, one of McBride’s former pupils. Produced by McBride, Kind Of Brown is a collection of songs in which his new band “has something to bite on”, in the words of McBride himself. For several years, McBride worked with a quartet formed by the saxophonist Ron Blake, the pianist Geoffrey Keezer and the drummer Terreon Quebrada. This time, the extraordinary bass player decided to form a new quintet focused on acoustic jazz.
