Program
Canta Gran is a programme that emerged directly from the social welfare policies of Barcelona City Council in 2002. It seeks to increase the active role of the elderly and to enable them to participate fully in society. This activity will form part of a further cycle of personal growth and quality of life, adding “life to years rather than years to life”. The project has successfully put choirs of elderly people in the spotlight in all participating cities.MARE NOSTRUM
A gentle breeze, the scent of pine trees and fragrance of rosemary, a tranquil sea, beaches, a host of swallows swooping across the sky and sun… Songs infused with the perfumes of the Mediterranean will take you on a voyage across the sea.
Visit the crystalline waters of Greece, traverse the Syrian desert, sip an Algerian mint tea, stroll through Italy’s Tuscany region and let yourself be carried away by the richness that Mare Nostrum affords us.
A fabulous opportunity to discover the different musical textures the Mediterranean has to offer.
