Jun-ichi Nihei: President and COO of the Japan Arts Corporation.

Come and experience one of the most prestigious music competitions in the world. Every two years, talent, music and the highest form of leadership and cooperation between individuals, namely orchestral conducting, is showcased.25 years discovering and helping young conductors from all over the world
The aim of the Cadaqués Orchestra International Conducting Competition is to discover and promote young conductors from anywhere in the world.
The competition consists of five rounds, open to the public and press, allstreamed live across the world.
The jury is made up of a range of figures from the world of music, representing a wide range of nationalities and professions, but all related to orchestral conducting: conductors, soloists, composers, music critics or agents, all of great international acclaim.
The winner shall enjoy a three-year tour for the 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, with a minimum of one concert with over 25 orchestras, including the symphony orchestras of Spain, Europe and America. This means that the winner of the prize has the opportunity to conduct all of these orchestras and to feature on a national and European level.
