The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra’s concert has been cancelled following the death ‎of Mariss Jansons

The concert that the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks (Bavarian Radio ‎Symphony Orchestra) was to perform in Barcelona on 19 January as part of L’Auditori’s BCN ‎Clàssics series has been cancelled. The Bavarian orchestra has cancelled the tour of a number ‎of Spanish cities that it had planned for the new year following the death of its chief ‎conductor, maestro Mariss Jansons, on 30 November.‎

Although in other cities the ensemble has been replaced by the St. Petersburg Philharmonic ‎Orchestra with Yuri Temirkanov as its conductor, due to scheduling reasons this change has ‎not been possible in Barcelona, which was to be the first city on the tour.‎

The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra has confirmed, however, that it will return to our ‎city for the 2021-2022 season.‎

Tickets will be refunded from Monday through the same method used to purchase them ‎‎(BCN Clàssics offices or L’Auditori box office). If they were purchased online using a credit or ‎debit card, the refund will be credited back to the same card in the next few days.‎
