The concert includes our traditional Christmas melodies, music for the Cavalcade of the Three Kings and international Christmas songs. There will also be two works with narration: the first, with texts by Herman Melville who was author of Moby Dick, the classic adventure chronicling the search for the legendary white whale; and the second, a poem written by Tali, a thirteen-year-old Israeli girl, who reflects on the conflict with Palestine and tries to explain things that a child like her is still unable to fully comprehend. The music, in both instances, will accompany us in a lyrical but also in a disquieting way, pulling us deeper into the poetry of the words that are crying out for peace.
