Born in Caracas, Venezuela, she began her dance and music studies at the Gran Teatre del Liceu Conservatory with the maestro Magrinyà. She continued her education in Venezuela with Nina Novak (a student of Nijinska and a prima ballerina with the Ballets Russes de Monte-Carlo) and the Conservatorio Superior de Música José Ángel Lamas.
A soloist in the Ballet Clásico Nina Novak company and in the Ballet Nacional de Venezuela, she has performed in the main ballets of the international classical repertoire, such as Ballet Imperial (Balanchine) and the Flower Festival in Genzano Pas de Deux (Bournonville).
Mas was the director of the Escola de Ballet Clàssic de Barcelona and its youth company in the 1980s and 1990s, and is also a dance teacher and guest répétiteuse for national and international companies. She created the guides for carrying out curriculum projects in dance schools (Government of Catalonia, 1999-2000) gives talks on dance, and worked on the Catalan Classical dance dictionary (TERMCAT, 2022). Mas is also a lecturer in classical dance and repertoire at the Institut del Teatre’s Professional Dance Conservatory (2016-2026) and its educational dance coordinator (2022-2026).
As a choreographer, she has mainly created pieces with Catalan music: Campanades a morts (Llach), Cançons (Lluís Llach, Maria del Mar Bonet and Marina Rosell), Mosaic (E. Toldrà), Somni (M. S. Puigferrer), and Sardana (J. Turina).
