Cyril Auvity began his professional career with the help of William Christie, director with whom he made his debut playing the role of Telemachus in The return of Ulisse in patria, by Monteverdi, at the Festival d'Ais de Provence in 2000 and later at the Teatro Real in Madrid. It has again coincided with Christie a David and Jonathan, by Charpentier, i.a atys, by Lully, directed by Jean-Marie Villégier.

A specialist in early music, he has performed title roles of works by Purcell, Charpentier, Lully, Handel and Monteverdi under the baton of conductors such as Jane Glover, Emmanuelle Haïm, Damien Guillon, Paul Agnew, Joël Suhubiette and Ottavio Dantone. He has also worked with the Pygmalion, Le Banquet Céleste and Les Arts Florissants ensembles, among others.

Cyril Auvity regularly collaborates with Christophe Rousset: Purcell’s The Fairy Queen, Rameau’s Platée at the Opéra national du Rhin (conducted by Mariame Clément), Cavalli’s La Calisto (conducted by Macha Makeïeff) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, and Rameau’s Les Indes Galantes (conducted by Laura Scozzi) at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse. Furthermore, he recorded Lully’s Bellérophon and Amadis with Rousset’s ensemble Les Talens Lyriques, and more recently, Isis.

As for Mozart's works, he has performed the role of Don Ottavio under the baton of Emmanuel Krivin and also Tamino and Monostatos at the National Opera of Bordeaux (conducted by Laura Scozzi). His interest in modern repertoires has led him to play the cabaret director al Pinocchio by Philippe Boesmans, directed by Joël Pommerat at the National Opera of Bordeaux.

His solo album Stances du Cid, produced by the record label Glossa, has received the Diapason d'Or award. He also has other albums edited by Glossa, com Orphée's descent into the underworld, by Charpentier, or a recital dedicated to Constantijn Huygens.
