Carmen Solís is one of the most important and versatile Spanish voices of her gen-eration. She alternates opera and zarzuela with oratorio and piano recitals, per-forming a highly varied repertoire.

Madama Butterfly, Alzira, Tosca, Il Trovatore, La Bohéme, Suor Angelica, Un ballo in maschera, Pagliacci, Cavalleria Rusticana, Turandot (Liù), Le nozze di Figaro, Edgar, Luisa Fernanda, Entre Sevilla y Triana, El Caserío, or La dama del alba are some of the works in which she has excelled and which she has performed on stages such as the Teatro Real, Teatro Monumental, Teatro de la Zarzuela and Auditorio Nacional, in Madrid; Gran Teatre del Liceu and Palau de la Música, in Barcelona; Euskalduna Palace and Arriaga Theatre in Bilbao, Maestranza Theatre in Seville, Campoamor Theater in Oviedo, etc., as well as in important theatres and auditoriums in France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Chile and Canada.

She has been conducted by prestigious teachers such as Juanjo Mena, Josep Caballé Domenech, Kazushi Ono, Gómez Martínez, Pablo González, Plácido Domingo, Thomas Sanderling, Daniel Oren, José María Moreno, Frédéric Chaslin, Guillermo García Cavo, Ros Marbà, Henrik Nánási and Álvaro Albiach, among many others.

She offers numerous piano recitals, recorded for Brillant Classics and IBS Classic, together with Ricardo Estrada and Rubén Fernández Aguirre.

Her activity as an oratorio singer is also very extensive: Requiem by Verdi, Mozart and Fauré, Mass of the Coronation (Mozart), Petit Messe solen-nelle (Rossini), Mass in G minor (Schubert), Ah perfido! and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and a long etcetera.
