Valencian conductor and trumpeter Adrián Moscardó began his professional career in 2009, earning a position with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (OBC) through a competitive audition at just 20 years old, while still pursuing a higher education programme. He has also been a member of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE) and the National Youth Orchestra of Catalonia (JONC).

Throughout his career, he has worked with leading conductors such as Cristian Măcelaru, Juanjo Mena, Dima Slobodeniouk, Ludovic Morlot, Kent Nagano, Vasily Petrenko, Jordi Savall and Jakub Hrůša, giving him the chance to perform an extensive repertoire ranging from Baroque music to contemporary works.

As a conductor, Moscardó draws on his extensive training and experience as an orchestral musician, which he sees as essential to understanding and meeting performers’ needs. His years within the orchestra have equipped him with qualities that now shape his approach to conducting: active listening, teamwork and collaborative leadership. Above all, he seeks to create an atmosphere of respect and trust in which every musician can fulfil their artistic potential.

In 2023, Moscardó was selected to take part in the inaugural NEXT GEN International Masterclass, organised by the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias (OSPA) and led by Professor Johannes Schlaefli. He was one of just eight conductors chosen from more than 150 international applicants.

During the 2024-2025 season, he made his conducting début in the OBC’s chamber music series, leading members of the orchestra in Igor Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du soldat at L’Auditori and taking a major step in his career as a conductor.

Since the 2025-2026 season, Moscardó has served as assistant conductor to Maestro Ludovic Morlot at the OBC. In May 2026, he made his début at the helm of the orchestra as part of its programme for season ticket-holders.

Moscardó is sponsored by the prestigious instrument maker ADAMS.

He has studied under maestros such as Johan Duijck and Salvador Brotons.
