On the Monday there will be an opportunity to appreciate what the Joventuts Musicals (Young Musicians) grouping have on offer for us as they emphasise the high level of musicianship which exists in Catalonia. The evening will involve three varied programmes including, in addition, various works by the Catalan composer Michael Oliu, who won the Queen Sofia Award for 2015. The triple Concerto will begin with the violist Agnès Mauri, garlanded with first prize at the Primer Palau Awards. It will continue with the pianist Albert Cano, awarded a special distinction in the Ricard Viñes International Competition and the winner, at only 14, of first prize at the International Chopin Festival in Mazovia. The soiree will be brought to a close by the Kebyart Ensemble, an exceptional saxophone quartet that emerged from the ESMUC. They were also winners in the First Palau Competition of 2016.
