Program

Beat Band from the Associació Musical Symphocat
Beat Band is a self-managed group of over 30 young musicians attached to the Associació ‎Symphocat. ‎
Founded in 2016 by Joan Pallarès, Carles Agut and Gerard Mena, the band changed course ‎just a few months later with the incorporation of its current conductor, Joan Vayreda. ‎
Beat Band aims to inspire a passion for music through a broad-ranging repertoire, made up of ‎music from differing eras, including movie scores, jazz, and classical music for band. ‎

“La Valenciana” from the Societat Musical del País Valencià in Barcelona
This band, known as “La Valenciana”, is made up of Valencia-born musicians resident in ‎Barcelona. Founded in 2016, it has ties with the associations Espai País Valencià and Casa ‎València in Barcelona. Its aim is to raise a greater awareness of the principality's music bands ‎and to act as a focal point for people from Valencia living in Catalonia. ‎
The band's musical activities are based in Barcelona, where it gives several concerts each year; ‎the rest of Catalonia, where it participates in get-togethers by bands attached to the ‎Federació Catalana de Societats Musicals (FCSM); and the Valencia region, where it has ‎performed in Castelló de la Plana (Plana Alta), Llíria (Camp del Túria) and the Palau de la ‎Música in Valencia (L’Horta).‎
Vicent Pérez i Esteban a.k.a “Coleto”, OBC trombone player and composer, has been the ‎conductor of “La Valenciana” since its foundation.‎
