Valentí Moya Meets Monk is the tribute that guitarist Valentí Moya pays to jazz pianist and ‎composer Thelonious Monk. Moya and his quartet offer a new approach to the music of one ‎of the greatest jazz icons of all time. Based on manouche jazz, with an intricate ‎musical formula that includes bebop, blues and folk, they perform versions of some of ‎Monk's classics while presenting new compositions. One of the most original tributes to ‎Monk´s music that has been hailed by critics and Thelonious Sphere Monk, the great master’s ‎son.‎
