Program
Joshua Bell is one of the undisputed stars of the musical firmament: here he brings us one of the most celebrated French musical works ever, along with the exciting and extremely famous Bolero by Ravel.Ramon Tébar, the conductor from Valencia now based in the US where he conducts various orchestras and festivals, offers up a programme based around rhythm, dance and movement. The most famous crescendo in history was composed by Ravel in 1928 and since then has continued to surprise us every time we hear it. The Argentinian composer Alberto Ginastera composed the ballet Estancia in the 1940s and captured the rhythm and colour of the popular music of the gauchos with a special grace. Opening the concert we have the magic of Joshua Bell, offering one of the most spectacular works in the solo violin repertoire that Lalo dedicated to the violin virtuoso from Navarra, Pablo de Sarasate.
