Temporada de Cambra 10-11

One year more, L’Auditori presents its season of Chamber Music with the confidence that comes from knowing that it is a well established event – as much by the public as by the quality of our musical interpretations. This season starts with the hope of continuing to contribute to the dynamization of the country’s musical selection and with the responsibility of feeling like a fundamental agent for the promotion of new musical values, as much in our country as in the rest of the world.

We commit ourselves to the continuity of performances that have worked so well in the last editions, such as concerts with the participation of musicians from the OBC, the incorporation of the ECHO Rising Stars series or the series of four concerts of the Quartet Casals, a resident group at the L’Auditori, who will continue with all the Quartets of Shostakóvich already announced last season, and who will offer one in each of the programs.

A contemporary repertoire will be present in many concerts, but there will also be a special homage made to the figure of Robert Schumann, born 200 years ago, and we will be able to enjoy a wide selection of chamber music through trios, quartets, quintets or piano solos.

We will have the opportunity to closely follow the paths of various chamber groups who are starting their careers, such as the case of the young Cuarteto Qvixote or the recently formed Trío Arriaga, or those who have become more established year after year such as the Trío Kandinsky. On the other hand, in the orchestral field, the Chamber Orchestra of Cambra Terrassa 48 will visit us, dedicated for the last ten years to recovering little explored repertoires.

We trust that all of this will result in a season of great quality and profound emotion that will allow us to enjoy the grand classics of the chamber music repertoire and, at the same time, discover some names that will soon be situated in the forefront without, of course, forgetting our very own compositors.
